My Father used to have a citizen watch in titanium. I remember the first day he bought it and how he loved to wear it and share with everyone how light and resistant it was. As I got older, I developed a fascination for titanium watches, promising myself, one day I would buy a great titanium watch for myself, one I could enjoy as much as my father did with his. In 2014 I discovered the Tudor Pelagos first generation, I immediately fell in love with it, the watch checked all the boxes of what I wanted, the only problem at that moment was I could not afford it yet. I had to save for my wedding day and there were other priorities at that time. Therefore, besides saving for the wedding and finding ways to earn extra cash to save for the watch, I spent a whole year visiting the watch store every week just to have a look of the watch. It was so pleasing just to look at it and although leaving the store without it every time,  it was heartbreaking. The situation taught me to be more patient. After 15 months of saving enough for my wedding day, I was entirely free to save a little extra for the watch. A few days later, my fiancée and I were walking near the store, and she insisted to go and say Hi to the watch, but I was not sure that day, because I was still short of money and that weekend was the last before our wedding. I wanted to be about us, and not involve anything else, anyways she started telling me about how she also wanted to give me something meaningful as the engagement ring I gave her, but did not know what. So she proposed me if it would be ok to put the rest of the money I was short to buy the watch. At first I did not know what to say but she insisted, she was hesitating because it was not something she got by herself for me, but at least it would be something that she knew I wanted and could last. This watch connects me with my father and my wife. It gives me a lot of joy and I could not be any happier.
