My obsession with watches started at quite a young age, where at age 12 I was gifted a Casio F-91W by my aunt, which I could never get off my wrist, where I slowly developed that sense of companionship in a watch. When growing up, I always looked up to my grandfather as my idol, who also seemed to understand this sense of companionship in a watch. He used to always wear this beautiful 1964 Omega Seamaster, where he used to do absolutely everything with it on his wrist, from business meetings to swimming, literally everything. As the years went by, I focused on my studies in Medical school, studying to become an Emergency Physician and I ended up putting this love for timepieces to a side. A couple of years ago, I was clearing my grandfather’s bedside drawer after he passed away, and to my awe found this long-forgotten Omega Seamaster. This brought back so many fond memories I had of my grandfather and rekindled the love I once had for timepieces. I currently wear this watch everywhere I go, from shifts at the ER Room to walks in the countryside, making it a point to honour my grandfather’s legacy.
