My last three years of college I decided to start saving for a backpack trip trough Europe. On my last semester, the Euro was at its highest point ever so no one wanted to travel with me because it was too expensive. I decided not to go and to spend the money on a new Rolex. On my graduation dinner I gift wrapped and included a note that said “you finally made it with no student debt, I am proud of you, signed by me!” I paid for my own college by having many different jobs and one day i will pass it down to my son on his graduation day.
